YUKTI
YUKTI, “Young India Combating COVID with Knowledge, Technology and Innovation” was launched on April 12, 2020. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
In Short, the main aim of YUKTI-National Innovation Repository (NIR) is to build a system of repository of ideas submitted by the students in the campus. It also aims at gathering the innovations and start-ups developed in academic institutions. Our Higher Educational Institution (HEI) has Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and this will control the whole process involved in YUKTI.
Initially it was intended for CoVID-19 related initiatives, efforts and research work. In the due development it will also be used as a two-communication medium on various policy decisions, initiatives and collaborations. It covers the various initiatives and efforts of the institutions in academics, social initiatives by institutions and the measures taken for the betterment of the total wellbeing of the students.
The innovations and start-ups throughout the year for building the repository, are received on regular basis. The scheme will provide handholding support such as mentoring, grant assistance, nominate for national innovation challenges, referral & linkage with incubation units, connect with Angel/VC networks, facilitating technology transfer, production of innovations and start-ups from HEIs. |
